Promoting Gender Equality
and Inclusion
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its associated Sustainable Development Goals present a historic opportunity to eradicate extreme poverty and ensure inclusive development. To seize this opportunity, it is crucial for governments, multilateral institutions, the private sector, civil society, and individuals to take action and ensure that no one is left behind. At CropFortis, we take this call to action seriously. We are deeply committed to the principle of "leave no one behind" and recognise the importance of gender equality and social inclusion in achieving sustainable progress.
Our mission is to accelerate self-sufficiency and prosperity in the agricultural sector. However, we acknowledge that gender inequality and social exclusion hinder equal access and opportunities for all individuals. To address this disparity, we understand the need to proactively identify and respond to the unique needs and priorities of women and marginalised groups. Additionally, we recognise the importance of addressing discriminatory laws, policies, norms, and practices that impede the full participation and benefit of women and marginalised groups in political, economic, and social life. Without a focus on equity, we risk exacerbating the inequalities that drive poverty, inequality, conflict, and instability.
Advancing Social Equity
CropFortis is committed to challenging exclusion and discrimination in all our programmes.
We strive to ensure that our programmes are informed by the latest research, evidence, and learnings on effective strategies for advancing gender equality and promoting inclusivity.
We aim to treat everyone equitably and ensure that no one is left behind in our initiatives.
We acknowledge that our work in this area is ever-evolving, complex, and challenging. However, we firmly believe that this journey is integral to achieving our vision of accelerating self-sufficiency and prosperity for everyone.
